The school has been set upbyAkarshmanasa Educational Society, a non-profit makingsociety registered under The Societies Registration Act (1860).The school aims to ensure that its students achieve theirhighestacademic and personal potential. It also aims to give thema firmfoundation based upon an understanding of Indian culture,societyand ideas. However, the school aims to use that base tobuild moreglobally aware citizens prepared for the challenges ofthe 21stcentury. This is achieved through the curriculum, throughvisits,expeditions, exchange programs and various school eventssuch asdebates, competitions, project works etc.The school educates both boys and girls in classes IV to X(agegroups 8 to 15) using the State Board Syllabus. Teachingisconducted in English as medium of instruction in small classeswithnumbers limited to a maximum of 35. This allows the school tohavea desirable high teacher-student ratio, which ensuresthatindividual needs can be assessed and individual help andsupportgiven.During the academic year i.e. 2009 – 2010 the school stretcheditswings by setting up a Day cum Semi Residential School atHunterRoad Hanamkonda. Here in this new venture both the State andCBSEsyllabuses have been adopted. Admissions are open in thisDaySchool for Classes Kindergarten to Class X.The Residential school has been built to accommodate1450students in a sprawling green pasture of eleven acres. Itconsistsof three lovely concrete buildings; one for the school, onefor theresidence of the boys and the other for the residence of thegirls.All these three buildings are equipped with the finest of thefinefurniture and fittings. Its facilities allow studentstoparticipate in variety of activities. This ensures thateachstudent can discover and develop his own individual talents.Bythis the school aims at creating all round development lmthestudents and empowering them to achieve their highestacademicpotential and shaping a holistic personality.Besides these three huge structures a semi concrete structurehousesa spacious Dining Hall with a capacity of 700 children at atime andthe kitchen with the latest equipment where the food iscooked forthe students and the staff. The food served is highlybalanced,nutritious and mouth watering to many a young tongue.
